Two done, one to go !!

After a long session of continuous work, I guess today is the day I finally have nothing to do. My BTP seems to be done, except for the fact that I need to add more songs to the audio database (http://172.16.14.6/btp/audio_playlist.m3u). I think Deepak is going to resume his posts devoted to cs; speaking of which, cs seems to be the in-thing again. It might be due to the fact that felicity is approaching and we would like to win the cs title atleast once before leaving the institute. FYI, we came second last year (slayers came second last year).

Did not post for a long time. Full credit goes to wordpress and the fact that my pc has been preventing me from blogging. My windows setup seems to reboot whenever it wishes to while my linux setup just stops responding the moment I start some special applications. (reiserfs – panic it says :O ).

* For people with reiserfs panic , a simple ro mount + fsck with a rebuild of the tree will do. *

Anyway, bf2 special forces is in. It’s amazing. With additional features like flash bangs, tear-gas, smoke grenades, hooks, ropes…..(phew) it’s simply a must-play game.  Oops, forgot all about the fast-terrain vehicles.

Dota games are also getting more interesting. Thanks to the extensive campaign against divine rapier, dota is much more interesting.

*      Really want to finish a major part of the BTP in the holidays. No sign of the prof. though.    *

The following is the “theory of evolution” (my version of course) – the result of a lot of bc + inspiration from a movie (The Jacket – a must c).

Okey, first of all the motive for any being in the universe

1. making sure that its existence is not in danger.

2. making sure that the species propagates.

Nature also btw is in the process of evolution. The beings (this includes all living beings) are all components of nature. As such nature also makes sure that its both protected and also survives for a long time . (Hence the balance – herb. v carn. ). As such nature took a shot with the dinosaurs – the strongest creatures ever. And as usual with great power comes great responsibities. Of course, shit happened and the dinosaur species became extinct. This was when evolution produced a new species – homo sapiens , beings with intelligence capable of finding a way out of most disasters (with a pretty high propogation rate , someone must survive).

As a result, we will c an increase in the intelligence of human beings (except u vasan ) as time goes by until,of course ,shi* happens.

The world cup seems to have awakened several hidden emotions in the tv room . With several people shouting curses and cheers in my ear, watching the fifa world cup @ iiit has been a pleasant experience. The top cheers (as observed by me of course) are when

1. Vikas Dhorasoo entered the field during the France match
2. Rooney entered in the second half in their match against t&t
3. Croutch missing several lollypop (first time I am using the term on paper ) chances

The past few days have been quite boring, all the more reason to blog i guess. Unfortunately , i did not have any interesting topic to write on. Lets face it, everyone seems to be writing on the reservation issue and i wouldn’t want anyone to read another blog with his/her comments abt reservation. quest for AJAX : this is gonna be my last post relating to this topic. Thanks to iv, xmlrpc blah seemed to accomplish what i wanted to do . Atleast, everything i thought of doin . The connections can be happily implemented using this mod. By the way, does ne one know how the widgets ( Message Box , etc ) in meebo are made ?

(i think the freakin site misled me, mod_python can however help write some handlers which can be inserted in apache <if i got it right> ).     For those who don't know abt counter-strike, its one of the coolest games involving stratergies and team-work (dota is useless ) . Counter strike has become an intgral part of IIIT life (bitch iv..). Saw an awesome counter-strike video just now (courtesy SpawN)  called best of bobby.
